Priyanka Chopra to be honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award

Bollywood, as well as Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, has been selected for Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award for being an international icon. This News had been reported by a news agency PTI. Priyanka’s Hollywood premiere film ‘Baywatch’ is released in India on upcoming June 2.This movie already released in the US on may 26.Although, ‘Baywatch’ did not get success as a Hollywood film. The beautiful & talented actress is also a popular face in western countries. In Hollywood, she started her career in the American TV show Quantico. Priyanka Chopra will be got the award under a newly introduced category ‘International Acclaimed Actress’ in Mumbai.Priyanka also recently won by second time People’s Choice Award for most populated TV show Quantico.This month, the Barfi actress currently appeared on the red carpet of Met Gala 2017.she also made appearances on the international red carpet like Oscars, Golden Globe. The chairman of Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award , Mr. Ganesh Jain said that,’ Priyanka’s hard and sincere efforts have helped her place herself on an international platform with grace.she is representing India at a global level and that has made every Indian proud of her work.this compelled us to introduce this fresh category in the awards.’ This award also special for her mother Madhu Chopra also.she will be also honored by her production of a Marathi Family Drama Ventilator. Which is comedy-drama film directed and written by Rajesh Mapushkar. The actor like Johny Lever, Mithun Chakraborty, Pahlaj Nihalani etc are included The Board Of Trustees for Dada Phalke Academy Award. Many Bollywood celebrities like Juhi Chawla, Anil Kapoor, Nitesh Tiwari, Kapil Sharma and much more actor and actress will join the event. This ceremony will be held in Mumbai on June 1, 2017. As we know the journey of her career within many ups and downs path and her hard work and sincerity help her to promote as a talented actress.Priyanka Chopra's last film in Bollywood was Jai Gangaajal which was directed by Prakash Jha. Now, many projects are in her hand like, Quantico third season will gear up recently at ABC channel.It also reported that she will debut a Bollywood biopic of astronaut Kalpana Chawla.
