Just before the IPL final, Uday Sethi, an unofficial Twitter user, provided fuel to the new debate of betting in IPL with his continuous tweets. He was forecasting the future result of the IPL final and thus indicating to the betting in the match. Though, he indicated that in the final, Pune will win the trophy for the first time in Mumbai Indians. So, this might be betting in IPL.
Although these predictions were not proven accurate. Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians won the IPL trophy for the third time in the history of the IPL. However, the new controversy emerged on twitter by a new person. This man’s every prediction for the each step of IPL final was exactly same way before the match even started. And this lead us to think about the smell of betting in IPL final. Also, this might be one of the biggest proof IPL match fixings. The final match started in the evening on Sunday 21 May. But the Twitter user started tweeting from noon. He made eight tweets about the final match. And all the eight tweets are proved to be correct after the match.
It appears that the profile name of the Twitter handler is 'Cricket Insider'. In the first tweet, he wrote, “Whichever team wins the toss, Pune will bowl first.” This is what exactly happened in the match. Mumbai won the toss and chose to bat first and send Pune to bowl.
More surprisingly, the profile tweeted that Mumbai will score between 120 to 130 runs and there would not be a single no-ball in the whole match. Also, the tweet claimed that the Mumbai Indian batsman Pollard will hit only one six. Surprisingly, his all these three tweets came as true. Mumbai scored 129 (between 120 to 130), Pollard hit only one six and also there was not a single no ball in the whole match.

More Curiously, the twitter account also predicted the score of the two openers for the Mumbai Indian (Parthiv Patel and Rahul Tripathi). As per “Cricket Insider” tweet, they would score less than 10 runs. Besides, he also said, Steve Smith will be the highest run scorer in the final. And with all the surprises, he says, Mumbai will win in the last over.

This was exactly what happened in reality. Parthiv Patel and Rahul Tripathi scored 4 and 3 accordingly. The captain of the Pune Warriors, Steve Smith scored the highest run (51) and also, Mumbai snatched the breathtaking last ball win in the IPL final.
Now the question is how a prediction can be so accurate? Is the whole tournament a betting? Speculation is spreading throughout the web world.
